United States Senate

The United States Senate is one of the two chambers of the bicameral United States Congress, the other being the House of Representatives. It is known informally as the "upper house." The Senate consists of 32 senators divided over the 16 regions in USA.

Former United States Senator Jonathan Hayes is the constitutional President of the Senate after being confirmed as Vice President by the outgoing Senate. Being a Democrat, he breaks the tie in favor of his party, giving them the Majority.
