Jonathan Porter was born in Waxahachie, Texas on July 1, 1950. His family moved to Frankton, Indiana ate the age of two and Porter graduating from Frankton University in 1972 with a degree in Business and a minor in Politics. He completely failed in his Race Relations class. He became a county judge in 1976, ruling in nearly 76 cases against minorities. He moved from Frankton, Indiana in 1979 due to what he called the "voilent uptick of gang members moving in". The density of blacks and Hispanics expanded by 7% in 1979. In 1984 Porter was elected to the house to represent Indiana's 8th Congressional District. Since then, he has proposed legislation putting restrictions on affirmative action, voted against Secretary of State Colin Powell's confirmation, and Justice Clarence Thomas' nomination to the Supreme Court. He has also proposed the "2007 Gang Prevention and Community Safeguard Act" which died in the house due to its bizzare connotation saying all gang members, regardless of criminal history, be put securely behind bars. Rep. Porter resigned immediately on November 4, 2008 at 11PM and fled the country at 11:59 am on January 20, 2009. Porter was re-elected in 1986, 1988, 1990, 1992, 1994, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004 and 2006.
