Congressman Gary Nelson

Garrey Lee Nelson was born in New Haven, Connecticut in 1959 to Rodwell and Marie Nelson. He graduated from New Haven University in 1981 and recieved a major in politics and a minor in Zoology. In 1984 he became a city council member and became mayor of New Haven in 1988. He then became a congressman for Coneccitcut's 5th District in 1990. His family was famous for being frquently cited skiing with his wife and children, Karey, Linda and John Nelson. In 2007 he was blasted for introducing the "Congressman Gary Nelson Personal Pay Raise Bill of 2007" which died in the House. Being an animal enthusiast, he frequently dubs bills with animal-related names, such as when he suggested "Operation Lion's Den" for a still unnamed Meth prevention bill in 2008. He is a member of the House Commitee on the Judiciary alongside Congresswoman Pamela Keller and Chairman Robert Ingersol. His wife Karey divorced him on November 4, 2008. Since then, Nelson and other divorced congressman like Robert Ingersol and John Danson have been serving on the House Financial Services Commitee. Congressman Nelson is reportedly dating Girlfriends Leadership Commitee Member Clarica Johnson, which is why he so rigourously questioned the commitee in May 2009's hearing. He also hates waffle-makers.
