Congressman Michael Gelinas was a congressman from Nebraska's Second District, before an extremely controversial statement at the end of a speech on Children's access to the internet forced him to resign. "I'd like to fuck these kids in the ass." said the Congressman on the House floor in 2007. Gelinas was born in Des Moines, Iowa on June 2, 1955 to Lyle and Julie Gelinas. After graduating from Des Moines University in 1977 with a doctorate in Sexual reproduction, he started by moving to Lincoln, Nebraska and becoming the head of the Department of Parks and Recreation. He said that "Kids need a larger space to congregate and play around." then, he became a congressman in 1990 after a long political career in Nebraska. He served briefly as President Bush's Deputy Chief of Staff in 1992, and then ran for congress again in 1994. Then, his career ended abruptly in 2007 when he made those controversial statements on the house floor. He was then replace by Congressman Lee Terry.
