• The Ultimates attempt to apprehend the X-Men. After a strenuous battle, they subdue all the present X-Men. This is disrupted by the arrival of Iceman, who eliminates the neural scramblers that are keeping Xavier and Jean Grey from utilizing their psychic powers. Xavier then paralyzes every non-mutant mind within a 10 block radius and allows the X-Men to escape. The Wasp is unaffected by this, being a mutant herself, and disables Xavier with a “sting”. Xavier is taken into custody as the remaining X-Men escape.
• Six hours later Xavier is placed into a holding cell at the Triskelion.
Notes:
- Wolverine’s Weapon X modifications make him invisible to radar.
- Captain America confront’s Wolverine and makes the reference that they have met “once in Normandy in 1945, and twice in Africa in 1944”. Cap identifies him as Corporal James Howlett of the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion.
- Tony Stark’s arm is broken during the conflict. This injury was either inflicted by Colossus or Wolverine but is not specified which.
