• Wilson Fisk is visiting his comatose wife when his informed by his assistant Mr. Rose that there is a man present to audition for the position of his bodyguard.
• Moon Knight auditions for the role of Kingpin’s bodyguard under the identity of Ronin. In his mind, his multiple personalities argue over this decision as they realize a new 5th personality will have to be created to accommodate this action. During his audition, he disables all of the Kingpin’s men effortlessly. He is identified to be Marc Spector, an ex-Navy Seal. It is also stated by Kingpin’s assistant that he is a Gulf War Super Soldier experiment gone wrong and worked for Roxxon under the name Paladin. Kingpin orders Ronin to wreck Spider-Man’s life and bring him back to their location in order to prove himself.
• Mary Jane produces a short news film about Spider-Man in order to try out for the school’s TV broadcast team. She interviews Flash Thompson and Principal Siuntres. Siuntres indicates that he has cross-referenced all of the school employees with the known physical characteristics of Spider-Man and does not believe that he is an employee of the school. Her film is viewed in high regards by the TV team and she is accepted into the Student News Network.
• Marc Spector hotwires a school bus at Midtown, changes into his Ronin costume, and then drives the bus through the school doors. He emerges from the bus, firing an automatic weapon into the air and yelling for “Spider-Man, the boy with the costume”. Kitty Pryde attacks Ronin/Moon Knight, who fires on her with the gun, even though she phases through the bullets, Moon Knight’s personalities are horrified that the emerging Ronin personality was willing to kill a kid. Peter is shown to be escaping to change to his costume.
• Ronin/Moon Knight knocks out Kitty with a fire extinguisher. In his mind, the Ronin personality manifest and begins to battle the Moon Knight personality. Peter arrives in costume and begins to battle Ronin/Moon Knight. This occurs simultaneously with the Ronin/Moon Knight fight that is occurring in Moon Knight’s mind. Ronin overcomes both his physical and mental opponents, subduing the Moon Knight personality and knocking Spider-Man unconscious with a kick to the face. Ronin then uses one of Peter’s web blasters to flee the scene with Peter in tow. MJ captures this on film.
• A military group arrives at the school and hold Kitty Pryde at gunpoint.
• Peter awakes to being confronted by Wilson Fisk.
