- When the late 'Dick' Sheppard resigned the living of St. Martin-in-the-Fields through ill-health in 1927, 'Pat' McCormick took on and succeeded in the difficult task of carrying on a line tradition. He has given many 'sound' broadcasts, but his Christmas message to viewers today marks his first appearance in television

- (Details as Tuesday, 21.30) George More O'Ferrall proved he could overcome the production difficulties of televising Alice's adventures as far back as last January, when a television version of 'Through the Looking-Glass' was presented with great success. On April 29 and May 1 Alice, played by Ursula Hanray, was seen again, this time in an adaptation of 'Alice in Wonderland', which is to be shown today with various alterations and additions
