"BSSSH!" "BOOM" "SHPKOW!" BUDOOM!" You stand there listening to him for a while, until you can't take it anymore and start chuckling. He stops and looks at you. "Uh... Hi. I was just... err... thinkin' up a design for a new... type of explosive. Yeah."
"Of course, John." you reply, barely keeping a straight face.
"Yes. Of course." He replies, obviously pissed off. "Hey, did ya hear about that last minute change of plan?"
"Uh... No?"
"Yeah, instead 'o goin' to a green zone, grabbin' some supplies an' gettin' back home in time fer dinner, we've been told ta go into a red zone. 'Parrently, the Halos caught a radio signal comin' from in there."
"Really? Oh my god! You're joking, right?"
John grins, then laughs. "Course I'm fuckin' jokin'! Man, the look on your face. Priceless..."
He turns away and starts fiddling with one of his bombs.
"Jerk."
You turn and begin to walk away. Then, the ship's loudspeaker turns on. "OK, hunters. Five minutes till we dock! Get to your vehicles!"
