More natural material like bamboo can only be cut at a certain time of the month so that it's not full of bugs. Once it is cut and transported to the island it needs to be used immediately or the bugs will get it again. Once faltered the bugs leave it alone! Logistically getting material to Vorovoro is a nightmare. If we order a stock pile for people to build from, material could go to waste unless it is well managed, and this is if we get the stock on time in the first place!
