You can add hyperlinks in your text to allow people to click and go to another web site. These are called external links, meaning they will link to something outside the tribewanted Wiki.

To make a word an external hyperlink, use the following format:

[address(space)text]
address should be the web site address including 'http://' in front, like this: 'http://www.google.com'
text is whatever text you want to appear on the page, like this: 'Google's web site'

Here's what it would look like on the edit page:

[http://www.google.com Google's web site]

And here's what it would like like on the page:

Tips

  • You don't usually say "click here", we assume people have figured that out by now.
  • Instead of typing the word in brackets, you can also type it first, select it with your mouse, then click the button_extlink.png button on the edit page to convert it to an external link. This is not a great help, however, because it won't include the plain text and all you'll see is [1]. Probably not what you want...
