Isabelle very much lives up to her nickname of ‘Ice Queen’ when it comes to appearance. At 5’4” in height, her skin is a shade akin to porcelain; pale blonde hair falls over slim shoulders, framing a delicate-featured face. Cold, dark-blue eyes look out from beneath dark lashes, emanating a dangerous, mysterious look that many underestimate when it comes to threats, mainly due to Izzy’s petite frame. While she may have a sugary-sweet smile and appear as innocent as a china doll, she is anything but sweet, or innocent. You’d think she’d dress similarly to her personality, but her taste in clothing is actually quite the opposite; she prefers skirts and heels to leather and combat boots. This, in turn, gives her automatic advantage over potential opponents, as they expect her to be the ‘soft and gentle’ type. How wrong they are, of course, because appearances are indeed deceiving. The only outward sign of imperfection is a 3” long scar along her hairline that she received from banging her head on a fence when she was five.

'''Brief History'''
 +
 +
Isabelle Katrine Levesque was born on April 4th to Ava and Henry Levesque. An only child from a well-off family, Izzy grew up as spoiled as any child in her situation would. From birth until the age of eight, she had everything and anything she could ever want – from ponies and top-of-the-line broomsticks to diamond earrings and luxurious clothing. As most of her ancestors were of magical descent (though the family actually started out as Squibs and muggle-borns), Isabelle grew up in a wizarding environment and became accustomed to wizarding ways at a very early age. Unfortunately, she also became accustomed to a pureblood’s view of the world – right from birth she was taught that muggleborns were filth and that they should be avoided at all cost. Despite being brought up (for the most part) in such a haughty, self-righteous household, Izzy was not a horrible child to start out with – it was time and tragedy that turned her for the worse. It had started out as a normal Saturday, that fateful day – Izzy went off to the wizarding market with her nanny, Alice, while her parents went to work at their respective positions at the French Ministry of Magic. After a long day of shopping and ice cream cones, the Izzy and Alice returned to the manor only to find it burned to the ground. Mr and Mrs Levesque had somehow not made it out alive, leaving eight-year-old Izzy an orphan.

 +
It was shortly after this horrible event that Izzy discovered she had an aunt – previously she had been led to believe that she and her parents were the last of the ‘prestigious’ Levesque bloodline. Apparently, that wasn’t so – Aunt Loraine was her mother’s sister, estranged after having married a muggle (who was now deceased). The unknown relative lived a fair distance away from Izzy’s hometown – her home was right splat in the middle of London, it turned out. So against her will, the French Ministry placed her in this stranger’s custody, much to her chagrin. For three years she toiled away there, just counting the days until she could escape to Beauxbatons and never return to this muggle-infested hellhole she was supposed to call ‘home’. However, Aunt Loraine had fought against the Beauxbatons system and gotten Izzy transferred over to Hogwarts, under the reasoning that it would be better for her to be closer to home. Isabelle, obviously, would have none of this and tried to rebel, only to find herself ‘shipped off’ there anyway. Never had a child stepped into Hogwarts so begrudgingly (aside from Clementine Ferrara).

Her first year at Hogwarts passed by like a treadmill stuck in quicksand – very, very slowly. Isabelle refrained from making friends of any sort, even with her housemates, under the impression that she was going to get herself out of there ASAP – not that she would ever befriend any of those muggle-loving chumps anyway. Of course none of her scheming worked, much to her shock and discontent – it appeared Aunt Loraine wasn’t as dim as Izzy would have preferred. So she was stuck at Hogwarts until graduation, and Izzy never went a day without letting the world know how much she hated it there.

'''Personality'''

Isabelle is not the type to make nice – unless you’ve got something she wants. In that case, she’ll be your bestest buddy only to turn around stab you in the back to get it. If playing nice doesn’t work (though it usually does, because hardly anyone is able to see through her act), she’ll resort to violence or revenge of some sort; past experience has taught her that both these actions are often rewarded. Isabelle never goes a day without plotting a scheme of sorts to get back at someone or just wreak havoc in general – chaos is like heaven for her. Causing trouble and copping an attitude are two of her favorite things; she is also very sarcastic, and it’s often very difficult to tell if she’s being sincere unless you know her. For someone of such petite stature, Izzy is surprisingly strong and can easily beat someone twice her size into the ground if she gets angry enough. Although most say she is void of emotion, Isabelle runs on them – mainly anger, hatred, and lust. She has a tendency to act before she thinks, which of course has repercussions, but she is more or less indifferent to them. In her own mind, she is untouchable, and nothing can affect her whatsoever. Perhaps this is a dangerous way of thinking, but having been that way for years, she’s doing just fine. Certainly not an easy person to get along with, the few who do manage to befriend her (ie, about three) have her loyalty for life. However, once you get on her bad side, you stay there for eternity – Izzy is fantastic at holding grudges against those who have wronged her, irritated her, or who she hates for no good reason other than just because.

'''Strengths'''

 +
Isabelle considers herself to have many strengths and few weaknesses (though that is a weakness right there). Among her true strengths are potions, defense against the dark arts and anything that requires a certain amount of grace. She is a natural when it comes to making complex brews and has been known to experiment with pretty much anything she can get her hands on, and usually does so in Moaning Myrtle’s bathroom when no one is around. Although she has never ‘considered’ becoming a Death Eater (it was written in the stars for her from conception), DADA is the class she does best in by far, in both the self-defense part and the dangerous-curse-casting part. She was first enrolled in ballet at the age of three and ever since has had the poise and elegance of someone who has been a dancer their whole life. Even when she does something klutzy, she does it gracefully, which has evoked much jealously from other female students – she never looks stupid or gawky or awkward.

'''Weaknesses'''

 +
Isabelle has many weaknesses, as anyone human does. The first is that she is rather impulsive and rarely thinks before she acts, and she usually acts on the few emotions she has the capacity to feel – as aforementioned, anger, hatred, and lust. Her indifference to the repercussions of her careless behaviour have given her a somewhat cold reputation at Hogwarts, one that she is aware and rather proud of. Also, her holier-than-thou attitude is another weakness – when you view yourself as ‘untouchable’ and the Goddess of everything worth being Goddess of, this creates an automatic soft spot to bruise on your ego. However, Izzy’s ego is so inflated it is unlikely she’d be affected by anything anyone had to say about her. Her worst classes are Divination and Herbology – she views all that mystical namby-pamby as a waste of time and thinks plants are useless. Therefore, she puts no effort in either of these classes and subconsequently flunks both of them.

Three of Izzy’s main hobbies are wreaking havoc on the unsuspecting, finding trouble wherever she can and copping an attitude towards anyone who is easily irritated. As she is rather bitter about missing out on the one thing she wants most (to go to Beauxbatons), Isabelle sees no reason why anyone else should be perfectly happy with their lives. So, she causes all the ruckus and drama she can get away with, which is a lot, since no one is really brave enough to face her. Her other hobbies include reading horror novels, practicing curses and hexes, experimenting with different potions (though not on herself), and complaining about how dismal her life has become since her parents’ death. She finds anything that doesn’t involve herself explicitly boring and spends the rest of her free time preening in front of the mirror, or coming up with another scheme to get back at that horrid Ravenclaw seventh year who tried to push past her on the stairs. The arts bore her to death (except for horror novels, of course), and she prefers activities with plenty of action and violence involved. Such a nice girl, no?
