The Slytherin emblem

Brief Information

Head: Sir James K. F. Bannister

Founder: Salazar Slytherin

Emblem: Vert, a serpent argent (that is, a silver serpent on a green field, hence the Slytherin colours of green and silver). The serpent device signifies the founder's gift of being a Parselmouth.

Ghost: The Bloody Baron

Location: The Slytherin common room is a low-ceilinged, dungeon-like room with greenish lamps and chairs. It is located under the lake.

Sorting Hat description:

Or perhaps in Slytherin
You'll make your real friends
Those cunning folk use any means
To achieve their ends.

Further Information

Slytherins are cunning and sneaky by nature. It seems that all the Slytherins that have ever passed through the Hogwarts doors are true to the traits of the house. Every single witch or wizard to be a member of this house has turned to the way of evil and that's a fact.

Evil and sly, they only think about personal game or picking on those less fortunate than them or from different houses. This has been a big source of conflict around Hogwarts for centuries. Slytherins, or most of them come from rich pure blood families who are extremely proud of their heritage, beliving they alone have the only right to call themselves purebloods.
