Melissa shoke her hand and then ran her fingertips over Mrs. Peabody's palm as she pulled away. The older woman smiled, saying, "Welcome, Melissa. Let's check over your resume first, shall we?" Her voice was pleasant and playful as she sat in the oversized desk chair.

Melissa took the simpler chair offered. Peabody glanced through some papers and asked several questions about her previous employment.
