Alternate chase with I-Cop interceptor

He jerked awake to the intruder klaxon. He checked the sensor sweep. Shit, what looked like an I-Cop interceptor was headed his way. Calvo had to find out if they'd seen him. He shut down the engine and got the power plant down to minimal output. Ten minutes of silent running confirmed that they were headed directly toward him on an intercept course. He powered up the plant again and plotted a maximum burn course to the planet. Maybe he could lose them on the surface and lay low till they lost interest.

Calvo let the computer steer the ship until the missile siren went off. They were shooting! He grabbed the controls and began evasive maneuvers to make the projectiles waste fuel changing course often.
