Walk, it's good exercise.

From Thread 1

Walking down the bike path to towards the beach, you look around at the trees around you. Its a very secluded path, the birds are singing and its a beautiful day, a nice relief from the stormy days you've been having. You notice that the trees on this part of the path branch all the way over, so you can barely see cracks of the sky in between the branches. Looking off to the side you notice a river following the path that you'd never really noticed before. It must have gotten bigger with all the rain we've been having lately, you decide. As you continue on you realize that, for such a nice day, you haven't seen anyone else on the path today. Just as well, you're not really big on people interrupting your walks. Nature is much nicer than people.

You notice an odd feeling, like someone is watching you. You spin around and look behind you.

Nothing is there.

Feeling a little silly you wonder how much longer this path is. You don't remember it being so long, then again you may be a little out of shape. Chuckling, you turn around and start to continue on your way but stop in your tracks when you see the biggest wolf you have ever seen, granted its really the only wolf you've seen. You freeze, knowing you can't outrun it. You look around frantically for anything that might let you escape this unharmed. You think about screaming but realize that there is no one around, something you had ironically just counted as a blessing.

Trying to focus and gather your wits again, you turn your attention back to the wolf. It didn't seem like it was about to attack you. Wolves don't really eat people, you know that from one of your favorite books(Tamora Pierce!), that did not make the large predator in front of you any less threatening though.

The wolf caught your eye. Mesmerized, you look into the greenest eyes you have ever seen. Are wolves supposed to have green eyes? The thought fades away as do all others as you gaze in the unfathomable depths of this wolf's eyes. It starts to back away from you, but the thought of not looking at those eyes was unbearable, so you take a step forward. Again, the wolf steps back, and you step forward. You have no idea how long this goes on for, all sense of time is washed away by the intensity of those green eyes. All you know is you have to get closer, you have to be nearer to those deep green wells. You don't even notice that the wolf has stopped backing up. You just keep getting closer and closer.

You can feel the hot breath of the wolf now, one more step and you'll fall right into those green eyes.

Suddenly there is a terrifying screech!

The spell of those eyes interrupted, you glance up.

  "Aaaaahhhhhh!"

You scream in terror, the creature you took for a wolf you now realize has a multitude of sharp teeth nearly spilling out of its mouth. One of its three pairs of paws is pressed over its ears and both of its tails are firmly between its legs. Confused, you stumble backwards as fast as you can. You try to look around for the path but it is no where in sight. Thinking that you are doomed and this creature is going to have you for brunch, you are taken completely by surprise when a giant talon swoops you into its clutches. Great, you think, out of the fire and into the frying pan. What in the world in going on?
