Then you smash the rat's skull with the club. You almost feel sorry for the creature, but even a talking rat is still a rat.
You're about to move on when the foul waters suddenly erupt. You watch in growing fear as a crocodile rises from the sludge.
"Who's making all the noise?" the crocodile asks.
Its eyes appear to glow in the dim light.
