• Fighting style appears to be based on MC-MAP and Krav Maga, in the physical aspect. However, Joe typically wields a variety of strange technological or alchemical weapons and items in combat. A preferred tactic involve corrosive chemical sprays and short-range, massive electronic discharge. He does not appear to have the talent for Ki.
• Citing the loose rules of the Noah Foundation's tournament requirements, Joe is a local-level combatatant. He has a record of 14-4-1, and one disqualification.
• Of the three members of the AV Club, Joe is the least physically fit, but by far and away the smartest.
• Something of an absent minded mad scientist.
• Joe does not draw the line between science and the occult.
• Joe's major weakness is his ego, which often leads him into blind rages and questionable activities.

• Fan of Karaoke. Actually has a decent voice, tends to sing to himself when he thinks no one is paying attention or is too happy to consider things around him.
