Gavne Wheelwright

Gavne Wheelwright is the Commander of the Northern Gate of Gethamane. He was trained by his family to be a craftsman but joined the Guard at 25 after his wife's death at the hands of underdwellers. He rose through the ranks, driven on purpose and natural talent.

Golden Stag assigned Gavne this position to prevent his obsession (revenge against the underdwellers) causing his own death or resulting in unacceptable Guard losses. For the moment, Gavne makes no complaint.

Gavne, like Mindros, commands a squadron of 60 Guard, who serve in eight-hour shifts, 20 on duty at any time at his gate.
