Personality
Often annoyed and irritated by people, anything of the cute nature, as well as sweets. He's quick to give tongue lashings and will let you know that you're bugging the crap out of him, such as screams to just to you to shut up. Just hates, hardly likes anything.
Powers and Abilities
Ability to recover faster than ordinary humans. Excellent sword fighting abilities. He's like Batman.
History
An 18 year old Exorcist from Japan. He can recover much faster than ordinary humans due to a mysterious tattoo above his heart (which looks like a Hinduism seal). It is related to a Lotus flower, sealed in an hourglass, that is connected to Kanda's life. It is said that when it wilts, he will die. His purpose in life is to find a person that he refers to as "that someone"; until then, he will never allow himself to die. So far, the Lotus flower has lost two petals, but is otherwise still robust. Kanda seems to be able to withstand the blood of Akuma, most likely due to the tattoo above his heart. The hourglass and flower is said to be his only personal possession. He was grudgingly partners with Allen in Allen's first mission. He has long black hair (blue in the anime), which he washes with soap.
He has a rough tongue, foul mouth and a cold manner, and tends to say "Che" a lot. Yuu is Kanda's given name, but he dislikes being called that. He calls Allen "bean sprout", because compared to him, Allen is somewhat short and of a slight build, not to mention Kanda is older. Kanda seems to have a slightly friendlier attitude towards Lavi. Kanda seems to be much kinder to Lenalee. His favorite foods are soba noodles and tempura (especially pumpkin and shishitou, a kind of small green pepper).
Kanda dislikes so many things to the point that "there are too many to write down". But it is a known fact that he hates people with naive personalities (Allen), people who can't keep their mouths shut (General Tiedoll), people calling him by his given name, and "sweet things". His anti-Akuma weapon is a black katana, "Mugen", which turns silver when activated. "Mugen" means "six illusions".
After his search for General Tiedoll was successful, he and his comrade Noise Marie followed the General to find more compatible hosts for Innocence, considering the depleting numbers of Exorcists due to the war and the attack of the Noah Family. They found themselves in Japan, wounding up just in time to save Lavi, Rinali, Crowley, Miranda and others from an attack from the Noah, scooping Rinali just in time away from Tyki Mikk. It appeared that the Noah are targetting her, and with that, they pulled her into the Ark, which was being prepared for self-destruction. Almost all of the Exorcists with Rinali at the time were pulled into this realm, including Kanda, in which Tyki appeared again with a proposition; for them to go through each of Road Camelot's doors in each dimension to be able to go outside. However, a Noah challenged them with each dimension, the first being Skin Boric, the Noah who was actively hunting General Tiedoll. With the large Noah now in front of him, Kanda, with the incentive of killing him for trying to murder his general (though one may suspect he just wanted to kill that fat guy), told the others to leave him, leaving this kill for himself. The battle took longer than expected for the both of them, with Kanda having to use his powers to sacrifice a bit of his life to get a power up. His Mugen shattered, Kanda only managed to use the Innocence link within them to deliver the final blow onto Skin Boric. However, the world around him crumbled, and the door destroyed, and the only thing which awaited him was death...
