Personality

Hes an arrogant prick, but he isnt stupid. Once someone gets past Creeds sociopathic murderous tendencies, they find a dark and twisted sense of humor and a quick wit. He seems to revel in making people twitch with corny jokes and cliché villainous lines. He also seems rather laid back with the world when someone or something hasnt riled him up, but hes by no means lazy. He greatly dislikes stupidity and enjoys using ones lack of intelligence against them. Hes not quick to jump to conclusions but hell take any and every advantage presented to him. Hes less narrow minded than he lets people think. Once someone worms their way under his skin they tend to be a friend for life, even if they dont want to be.

Powers and Abilities

Sabretooth is a Beta-Level mutant. He possesses an enhanced healing ability that allows him to regenerate massive trauma to his body. A foreign chemical immunity that renders him immune to all but the most powerful toxins as well as superhuman strength, stamina, agility and senses. His strength has been unnaturally enhanced by at least two scientific parties. He also possesses the ability to withstand extreme weather conditions. In place of regular fingernails he has retractable claws similar to a cats. These claws are naturally razor sharp and extremely durable allowing Creed to slice through flesh and most natural and many unnatural things. Lastly, he also possesses as a retarded aging process which causes him to live for a very long time and look younger than he actually is.

Sabretooth is an excellent hand to hand combatant, hunter and tracker. He has been trained by several government and private organizations as well as picked up many skills in his years. Despite being an arrogant bastard Creed is actually quiet intelligent, having hacked several government and private databases, escaped some of the highest security penitentiaries and holding facilities, and created complicated explosive devices. Through training he has developed a high telepathic resistance to probing and manipulation.

Creed also currently sports a skeleton laced with adamantuim making his bones and claws super strong and nearly doubling his body weight. This coating of metal gives his claws a blackened slightly metallic look.

On a side note, thanks to Marvel Zombies its pretty much been proven that something with an 100% infection rate is only slowed by a healing factor. This might mean that hes got a lower chance of contracting the virus but by no means is he immune.

History

The X-verse, as it is referred to, is a multi dimension compendium of the myriad possible plot twists of what ifs focusing on a single world and it surrounding universe. While there are then a multitude of the same character with slight tweaks in character. The main original world is known as world 616. This is the world from which Creed has been pulled.

Earth 616 is populated by humans and mutants. Mutants are people who, as a result of a sudden leap in evolution, are born with latent superhuman abilities, which generally manifest themselves at puberty. Many ordinary humans harbor an intense fear or distrust of mutants, who are regarded by a number of scientists as the next step in human evolution and are thus widely viewed as a threat to human civilizations. The main characters of the comics are the X-Men and their varied nemeses and fellow mutant heroes. While the X-Men as a group have many enemies the separate members also have their own personal enemies. Wolverines personal nemesis is Victor Creed, aka Sabretooth.

Creed was born sometime in the 1800s. Though cannon states it was most likely the late 1800s much of the comic evidence leans toward the early 1800s. This means he is somewhere between 100 and 200 years old.

When Creeds mutant powers manifested themselves his father locked him in the basement of the familys home. While chained up he was abused and tortured in an attempt to drive the evil, his powers, out of him. Eventually he broke free and slaughtered his family before disappearing into the wilds. Most of his life after this time until he is encountered in modern times is unknown or proven to be falsified.

It is unknown the exact date that Creed first met his self proclaimed arch rival and nemesis, Wolverine, but it was a bloody encounter that involved the slaughter of an entire Blackfoot Indian village. In doing so Creed coerced him into attacking another tribe.

Several years to decades later Creed was involved in the murder of Wolverines wife Itsu and the abduction of his son.

Later in the 60s Creed was a part of a secret black ops group with Wolverine. They were sent on a mission to retrieve and item called the carbonadium synthesizer from Russia. While one this mission Creeds colder nature was reviled in his willingness to sacrifice his fellow team mates for his own survival and the mission. He and Wolverine butted heads during this mission.

While on a mission in Germany, Creed was assigned to protect a spy whom turned out to be another mutant named Mystique. They had an affair and a child was the end result. It wasnt until years later that Creed would know about.

It is during this time period that Creed is pulled into a top secret government program code named the Weapon X project. While an unwilling subject many of his memories were tampered with and some were all together destroyed. At the time, he was also supposed to have the metal adamantium bonded to his skeleton as well, but Wolverine, whom was also a subject, destroyed the lab before this could happen.

The next time he resurfaced was against the hero Iron Fist. A short time after that Creed was recruited into a group called the Marauders, a group of mercenaries, by Gambit, a mutant thief, at the behest of the evil mutant and scientist named Mr. Sinister. He swiftly took charge of the group and led them on a mission into the sewers under New York to find and slaughter a group of mutants called the Morlocks. During this attack Creed and Wolverine met again this time as their costumed personas. Creed managed to escape and attacked the mansion of the X-men where Wolverine was staying. He was defeated there by the newest X-man, Psylocke.

Much later, Sabretooth was forced to work with his former black ops team mates, of whom had also been unwillingly drawn into the Weapon X program, to discover why their age suppression abilities were wearing off. (Honestly this was a poor story plot as Creed had always had the ability and so it should never have worn off.) They worked together to infiltrate the old Weapon X base and discovered exactly what the program had done to them and why. While being mentally tortured by the mutant cyborg called Psi-Borg, Creed killed Silver Fox, one of his teammates and yet another woman Wolverine loved. During this encounter Creed appeared to be absorbed into Psi-Borg, but later broke free with some of his false memories removed.

At some point, Creed sought out a mutant telepath named Birdy to help him suppress some of his uncontrollable rages. While he had Birdy he was often seen in suits and building a power base. It is during this time that his son, Graydon, with Mystique discovers whom his father is and sets about trying to kill him. He did not succeed but instead killed Birdy, which threw Creed into an insane rage. Having lost all control at this point, Creed set about on a killing spree. Eventually the X-men were called in to stop him. Professor Xavier felt that Creed was seeking help by acting out, so he was captured and taken to the X-mansion in order to be rehabilitated. While imprisoned Creed constantly goaded the X-men but was rebuffed by their telepath Jean Grey and at one point the time traveler Bishop. He did on occasion help the X-men during crises. Eventually Creed managed to goad Wolverine into attacking him. It was during this encounter that Wolverine stabbed his claws into Creeds brain.

For a time this damage appeared to reduce Creed to a child like mental state. He soon reveled to the mutant named Boomer that he was faking the whole time and goaded her into releasing him. Psylocke attempted to stop him and he nearly killed her while escaping. The X-men then launched a man hunt to get Creed back under their control. Once he was finally recaptured he was fitted with a collar that crippled him with pain every time he attempted to attack without permission. He was then forced into the mutant hero team known as X-Factor. Eventually he made himself immune to the pain and ripped the collar off and turned on his teammates.

For a time Creed returned to his true employers but was released form their employ for killing and not capturing his targets.

Creed next showed up during Wolverines marriage to the mutant Viper. At this point in time Creeds skeleton was laced with adamantium, much like Wolverines had been before it was removed by the super villain Magneto. His abilities had also been greatly increased. Creed eventually lost most if the adamantium when he was defeated by Wolverine in a match set up by Apocalypse. Afterward, Gambit again found Creed dying in a cave and cut a deal with him. Gambit would help him if Creed would lead the thief to one of Mr. Sinisters hideouts.

Months later, Creed was recaptured by a newly reformed Weapon X project and the Adamantuim was replaced. He was used as a recruiter for them, but most of the agents were put off by his bloodlust. Secretly, Creed used his time to gather information about the project and secret codes. He used this information to escape from the program.

After escaping, he hired two of Wolverines old enemies, Omega Red and Lady Deathstrike, to hunt down and kill those closest to him. He then captured Wolverines adopted daughter Amiko and used her for bait to lure Wolverine into a fight. Creed lost after being stripped of his powers and was recaptured by the Weapon X program. Again he managed to escape the program. This time however he pitted himself against the program and constantly beat their recruiters to the recruits, killing them horribly. After this he was again recaptured by Weapon X after nearly being killed by Weapon Zero. He was controlled by Mesmero until his powers failed and Creed escaped for the final time.

The next time Creed resurfaced was in the wilderness of Canada where he was hunting the Wendigo. He fought with the mutant Sasquatch before finally cornering the Wendigo. During the encounter both Creed and the Wendigo ended up in the Arctic Sea, both presumed dead by Sasquatch. After a battle in the water, Creed emerged with the hide of the Wendigo.
