Shropshire class guided missile destroyer (DDG)

The Shropshire class destroyers (4 operated between 1980 and 2007) were Australian versions of the powerful Kidd class Guided Missile Destroyers.

Murray class destroyer (DDH)

The Murray class helicopter destroyers (4 operated between 1979 and 2006) were helicopter versions of the Spruance class. Designed for Anti-Submarine Warfare, they carried 3 Sea King (later 4 Seahawk) helicopters, and Ikara.

Perth class guided missile destroyer (DDG)

This British designed aircraft carrier class may replace HMAS Australia and HMAS Vengeance. Its air wing would consist of F-35B Lightning II STOVL fighters, MH-60R Seahawk maritime helicopter, and the AW101 Model 112 AEW helicopter.
