Ideally, Anakin should generally have two options to choose from for major decisions: Light side and dark side. Nothing too drastic, but build up the distinction as his story progresses in terms of how aggressive/dominating/power-hungry he becomes. For example: AOTC:Anakin Naboo presents Anakin with the choice to apologise to Padmé or to force her to concede to his suggestion (whether to go to the Lake Country or stay in Theed). Choosing the second, more aggressive option leads to a slightly darker persona in the following Jamillia scenario, whereas taking the lighter option keeps him considerate. The dark side should increase at key points, specifically when he knows his mother is in danger, or if he's being rejected by Padmé.
