You leave Blue with instructions for Syn to plot a course to Vendaxa, and head to your passengers' temporary cabin. The woman with the white streak in her hair is there alone, checking a datapad. She looks up with a start as you enter.

"Astraal is availing herself of your refresher station. For her sake, I hope it isn't as dilapidated as everything else on this ship."

You shrug, crossing the room to lean on the dresser. "Not everything."

You aren't about to be dismissed so easily. "Nah, Syn's got it covered. See, I've got this strange ability to trust the people I hang around with."

"I don't think that's likely," she sniffs. "So, you are simply here to bother me, then?"

"Well, not exactly bother," you say, slipping easily onto the edge of the bed. She doesn't move. "I didn't catch your name, pateesa."

"No, you didn't," she states.

You rally. "It's no good pretendin' you're engrossed in that pad. I know you upper-class pateesas go for the scoundrels. Been to a thousand spaceports where your kind are dressed up like pagonas lookin' to catch some o' the attention you missed out on at home."

She regards you evenly for a long while. "I see. If you'll excuse me, Captain," she says, and turns her gaze to the datapad, not deigning to look up again.
