The starfreighter has departed Coruscant, bound for Naboo, and is currently travelling smoothly through hyperspace. You sit across from Anakin at a low table in the gloomy steerage hold, crowded with emigrants and their belongings. Artoo brings two bowls of mush from the droid cook.

You attempt to keep the conversation going: His eyes seem to bore into yours, and though you don't necessarily dislike what you see there, you are worried about the implications of what his stare suggests. "It must be difficult having sworn your life to the Jedi... not being able to visit the places you like... or do the things you like--"
"Or be with the people that I love," he interjects quickly.
"Are you allowed to love?" you ask, your interest piqued. It isn't often you get an insight into the workings of the Jedi mentality. "I thought that was forbidden for a Jedi."
Anakin shrugs. "Attachment is forbidden. Possession is forbidden. Compassion, which I would define as unconditional love, is central to a Jedi's life... so, you might say we're encouraged to love."
You don't exactly agree with his point of view, but his philosophy intrigues you. He so casually flouts ancient rules and codes. There is something inticing about that. "You've changed so much."
"You haven't changed a bit. You're exactly the way I remember you in my dreams..." He trails off, realizing he's said too much. You regard him evenly, but he seems intent on his food. Although the confession could have been a lot less creepy, you're a little flattered that he's dreamed of you...
