Long thought to be an expanse that is too dangerous to navigate, many brave or fool-hardy pilots were lost to it before a needle-thread passage was found and charted, a shortcut through the treacherous nebula and a lifeline linking Skara to the outlying sectors.
The Tiexen Station is established right in the middle of the nebula field, situated alongside the only clear passage through it, providing safe haven and a rest stop for budding traders and adventurous explorers. It also serves as a gas siphoning station, fuelling the giant that is Ska’ari industry in this corner of the galaxy, playing a pivotal role in the cluster core economy. And as a part of the Western Empire, advanced fighters such as the deadly Phantom are also available here for imperial pilots, making Tiexen a favourite stop for high ranking imperial officers. As for the civilians, the annual Race of Tiexen, a speed course through the treacherous gas clouds always promise to put on a good, thrilling, and dangerous show. And what better view is there, but a majestic nebula right outside the window of your sleeping quarter, putting up a colourful light show that is ever changing and ever mysterious.
