Earth is the home world of Human kind. For millennia, humans were isolated on this planet, wondering if there are intelligent beings out there. That answer arrived when the Keldon exploration taskforce landed on Earth soil. A monument had since been erected on that site to commemorate the historical event, and millions of tourists came each year to pay tribute to it.
After the humans acquired warp drive technology from the Keldon taskforce through clandestine means, space colonization became a reality. To assist in future colonization efforts, the Sol Station was soon constructed, acting both as a jump point for exploration and colonization effort, as well as a grand social experiment for studying long term physiological and psychological effects of living in space. And to humanity’s great relief, Sol Station performed beyond expectation on both goals.
Like all home worlds, Sol was heavily fortified and prosperous through good and bad times. In present days, Sol is the single most strategically important sector in all of Federation, rivaled only by Rashkan, the Rashkir home world. It is on Earth that the advanced vessels of the Federation Navy were built and commissioned, and on Sol Station where the Federation Fleet & Intelligence Headquarter is located, monitoring and protecting the safety of Federation from any potential threats.
