Quurze

From The Pardusian Chronicles

[edit] Historical notes on Quurze

Archeological studies indicated Quurze wasn’t always an ice planet. Long ago, it was a verdant class M teeming with life and even harbored a pre-industrial civilization. However, for reasons still up to debate, a planetary orbit shift moved it further away from the parent star, throwing the planet into a permanent ice age. Imagine the early colonists’ surprise when they discovered the frozen ruins of a primitive society, buried under kilotons of ice.

In a sector devoid of ore deposits and limited nebula field, Quurze nonetheless holds significant commercial interest due to its titanic reservoir of water. And the export of water has been quenching the thirst of countless people in this corner of the human cluster, as well as making Quurze a thriving community. Tourism is also a booming industry here, whether it is a trip across the boundless ice surface, a tour of the mysterious ancient ruins, or to enjoy the many water theme parks and entertainment, the Quurze Board of Tourism promises to make all visitors satisfied.
