Here lie the stories and legends of Pardus. Memories are slipping, events are dieing. The young need to know of who they have to look up to, be it for good or evil.

[edit] The Christmas War, aka The Frank Black Massacre

In the Christmas of 2004, after weeks of planning and preparation, Frank Black led the 6-8 pilots from among The Rangers against P.o.t.w.o.r. in P.o.t.w.o.r.'s Homesectors of Lamice, Grecein, An Dzeve, Canaab, Exinfa, and, at the time, Fomalhaut. At the time of the attack, P.o.t.w.o.r. was at its lowest point ever. It had lost the war against the Imperial Paladins, leaving it crippled and low on funds. After the war, Orsan, who had been the main reason for the war having begun in the first place, left the Paladins and began raiding P.o.t.w.o.r. space on his own. After he left, the area was raided again, repeatedly, by two Hawk-flying pilots by the name of Xarax and Xump. P.o.t.w.o.r. space was decimated and most of their members had left the alliance in an attempt to save themselves. The physical assault on Potwor was paralleled by another one, on the forums. P.o.t.w.o.r. was universally demonized and generally described as "A pirate alliance" (The reason, ridiculously enough, was that P.o.t.w.o.r. allowed illegals in their sectors, and refused to allow bounty-hunting of its members. Today, these are reasonable, common things. Back then, it was unheard of). It was this state, as the most hated alliance in the game, that encouraged Frank Black to attack them. Frank had been tiring of Pardus. He was looking for a last big griefing to go out on, and saw his opportunity in P.o.t.w.o.r.'s weakened state. Frank let is be known that the Rangers had been requested by the Emperor himself to "deal with the menace of P.o.t.w.o.r., the pirate alliance". There wasn't much left in P.o.t.w.o.r. space when he and his companions came down into it. There was, especially, no resistance, as Ginea was one of the only members online at the time, and could do nothing to stop them. By the time they were done, what little was in P.o.t.w.o.r.'s already devastated sectors was gone. Frank Black, having griefed his fill, then suicided. His companions moved on to other things, before being perma-banned. P.o.t.w.o.r. under Ginea's leadership managed to pull themselves out of their state as "most hated alliance", to the point where they were respected and trusted by most in the Empire. P.o.t.w.o.r. also recovered financially, and appeared regularly on the top 20 page. It also bounced back as far as number of members are concerned, rising to become the second largest alliance in the game. This state of affairs remained for a year, till the three highest ranking members of the alliance, Ginea, Thornal Malat, and Swonboy, all left in the span of a few weeks, with Swonboy taking many of the members with him to form Soul Reapers. However, that's a different story.
