Greandin
From The Pardusian Chronicles
[edit] Historical Notes on Greandin
Greandin is, by all accounts, a forlorn ice world in the outskirts of the Keldon cluster. According to the testimony of travellers, the nights on this planet are cold enough to chill even the most well equipped traveller to the bone. Legend has it that the first colonies were lost to a series of particularly harsh winters (although the occasional visitor to the planet may wonder how one could even tell the difference between winter and summer on this planet in any way). Naturally, the abundant supply of water on Greandin makes it the irreplaceable supply of water for the surrounding sectors. The abundant asteroid clusters in the southern portion of the sector have long made it a valuable mining colony, especially in supplying gems to the natives of the nearby desert planet Aeg. The discovery of so called "Jeff K. Foam" in the next-door sector of Regulus, has however added substantially to the economic strength of the system. Now, hardy traders who are willing to endure through harsh planetary conditions can find ample profits in the system.
