Tim Edwards, the self-proclaimed "first online bum", is an alcoholic homeless man from Houston. He became famous in 2009 after the Internet marketing campaign going by the name of "Pimp This Bum". He is getting money out of appearing on the site of the campaign, where he basically takes the viewers of his podcasts into the world of the homeless people. Naturally the sympathetic audience relays him money and sends him into expensive detox clinics in return.
