Martín Gastón Demichelis (Born December 20, 1980 in Justiniano Posse, Córdoba) is an Argentine football player who usually plays as a defensive midfielder for Tekken City in the FA Barclays Premiership. As well as his preferred position, he is often used as a backup defender as well.
Micho started playing professionally in 1998 at Buenos Aires based club River Plate, but he didn't manage to find himself a spot in the starting line-up until 2001. He had some good performances at River Plate, which resulted in a transfer to FC Bayern Munich in 2003. His first season with the German team was not very positive, because he suffered a number of minor injuries, but under the command of coach Felix Magath, he has found a place in the teams' starting line-up. Martín has also played a vital role for Bayern in winning their two consecutive "doubles" in 2005, and 2006.
On June 26, 2007, Demichelis completed a £5.5 million switch from Bayern Munich to Tekken City, signing a 4-year-deal with the club.
Many people agree that the Argentine player has the style of the German idol Franz Beckenbauer.
