[edit] Career at Halmstads

In 2005, Lundin was offered a professional contract by both Djurgårdens IF and Halmstads BK but he opted to play for Halmstads becaue he believed that the training facilities were a lot better. Since then, he became an important first team player over 3 competitive domestic seasons, scoring 13 goals in as many as 65 appearances. Many Swedish football journalists dubbed Lundin as "the future of Swedish football" due to the number of his impressive performances and many of Europe's top clubs, including AC Milan and Real Madrid were interested in signing the player.

[edit] Free transfer to Tekken City

In August 2008, Lundin wanted to leave Halmstads and join a top club in Europe because he thought that some of his well-known talents would be put to good use with them. However, Halmstads had other ideas and decided to extend his contract for a further 5 years, to which Lundin calmly declined. After huge debates in Sweden over where he would go. Lundin was then released as a free agent after it was apparent that Halmstads had no other option but to do such an action because they could not agree to terms over a new deal.

Lundin then on 5 September 2008 rejected a deal from Juventus to join Tekken City on a 5-year-contract. Lundin was quoted as saying after his successful transfer, "I am happy to come here because there are some Swedish players here and I feel coming here will not be that difficult. I want to give 110% to my new manager Fabio Capello who is a huge name in football, and I hope that my chances here will ignite my International squad chances."
