Your cleverness pays off, or else the bronze giant has a sense of humor, but, either way, you walk sedately past him and enter the cave.

The cave is roughly circular, and about 60 feet in diameter. A dark passageway extends from the rear of the cave. A small and unassuming mouse sits on its hind feet near the entrance to the passage, studying you intently.

As you approach, he asks, "Got any Garlic Bread?" Seraching through your belongings, you find, much to your surprise, that you do have some Garlic Bread, as well as a small vial of rat poison.

• Give the mouse the Garlic Bread, then proceed into the passage.
• Poison the Garlic Bread and then give it to the mouse, then proceed into the passage.
• Proceed into the passage.
