Clonetopia

From Superdickery

This forum, originally created by Pez, Mechanical Bird, and Virgie, was unique among spinoff boards not to be made by Virgil and to exist for a while beyond a couple of weeks. It was cool at first, since they invited a bunch of awesome people from Superdickery, but eventually members got bored of the constant and consistent spam others through. Thus, a slow exodus of members occured; the admins didn't care, thinking "it was their loss". This is untrue, because it was the Clonetopian's loss. Losers.

Forum Style

Unlike Superdickery or Cerebral Erosion, there was no effort whatsoever to reduce spam or to keep the forum logical and tidy. Subforums reigned everywhere, forum members often getting forums for themselves just by making enough posts. Posts would blink in and out of existence, and almost everything was pointless spam. Amusingly, a topic made for real content was quickly locked.

Eventually, people tired of this style, given that nothing resembling a community could amount from it. However, Pez continued down this path, and many forum members left as a result.

Egoville

'Egoville' was a section of subforums, each devoted to one Clonetopia member. The subforum trend started as an attempt to 'jail' Minnesota President and stop her from 'ruining the board,' despite her being literally the ONLY one posting at Clonetopia for the first week or so of its existence. Eventually Jail became Dolphinland and Pez decided to give everyone else subforums as well. Every person was the mod of their subforum and could tailor it to any theme they wanted. For example, Ykari's forum was about pointy weapons, and Eegriega's forum required all posts to be in invisotext. Unfortunately, the subforums created a very cluttered Clonetopia and most had only a few posts that nobody cared about. The idea was eventually scrapped.

The Wacky Admin Contest Thing

Near the end of most member's involvements in Clonetopia, Pez decided to run a contest to create a new admin. So, he had everyone sign up, and then he cosigned them all to a small set of forums, in which they would compete for adminship. Though people were positive at first, the game's slow pace and arbitrary twists that Pez thought fit to involve killed people's motivations, leading to many more exodus. The final winner in the contest was Dr. Dave, who worked with TSI, Ykari, and Justin Carr by working together and voting together to finally win the contest.

Amusingly, this team-up, at this point, had absolutely no respect for Clonetopia anymore, and were simply going through with the contest to push their own agenda. They made it clear by constantly noting it, and actively cheating in the games that ThePez sought to invest into it.

Also amusingly, it was later revealed that the end voting had been rigged by Pez from the beginning. So the entire thing was meaningless.

Bannination

At the very end of Clonetopia, there were far less efforts by the average member of Clonetopia to keep it a secret. TSI actively fed clues to Schide, eventually revealing the whole event after KristianWilliams noted it on Cerebral Erosion after an argument that Kris lost. This resulted in the bannination of Ykari, TSI, and Kris; none of them cared because Clonetopia was nothing but a spam-ridden pit by then, and it had members like Japp/Mess, and RadMcAwesome who were loathed by members that were not among the few who still held that Clonetopia was superior to Superdickery.

Clonetopia in succeeded by In Thor's Pants.

Things coming out of Clonetopia

It was revealed that RadMcAwesome sucks at coping ducks. The phrase "Fuckland, Ohio", originally used by The Pez. Supposedly the place where he thought Joyuna lived.

Clonetopia, the Sequel

After The Great Clusterfuck Of November 2007, a new board was created that would eventually become the new official board for the main site. So the original Superdickery board took on the Clonetopia name. For a little bit. The name keeps changing. Only a few people have been posting there lately anyway, so it's not like it really matters.
