Alison Mosshart is an American vocalist and guitarist.
Band Projects
She was born in 1978 and started her career in 1995 as member in the punk rock band Discount. When Discount split up in 2000 she founded The Kills with British guitarist Jamie Hince, where she's known under her pseudonym VV. In 2009 she also joined the new supergroup The Dead Weather in which she takes the position of lead-vocalist and guitarist. Jack White often introduces her on stage as Baby Ruth(less).

Beside her current band projects (The Kills, The Dead Weather) she occasionally collaborates with other bands/musicians; she, for example, sang the backround vocals on the studio-version of Placebo's song "Meds" or took Jack White's part in singing on September 29, 2008 in Memphis, when he had lost his voice.
