Conan O'Brien is an American television host, comedian, writer, producer and performer. Currently, he hosts the late-night talk show Conan (2010 - ) on TBS, and previously hosted Late Night with Conan O'Brien (1993 - 2009) and The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien (2009 - 2010).

• 1999: Shortly after shooting a remote segment for Late Night with Ted Nugent, Conan and his crew decided to drop by a Detroit bowling alley-restaurant-rock venue (which sounds a hell of a lot like The Magic Stick). "I have this vague memory of these really cool kids coming over and hanging out with us," he says. "I knew nothing about them or what they did."
• 2002: O'Brien eventually learned he had met Jack and Meg White that day when he popped into a Saturday Night Live rehearsal to check out the White Stripes as a fan. He reconnected with the duo and kicked off a relationship that would become one of the most fruitful in late-night TV. [1]
• 2003: The White Stripes are the musical guest for a four-day residency of Late Night, April 22 - 25.
• 2005: O'Brien appears in the Michel Gondry video for "The Denial Twist". The White Stripes play "Red Rain" on Late Night on December 2, 2005.
• 2006: The Raconteurs play Late Night on May 18, 2006.
• 2007: The White Stripes play "Icky Thump" and "Effect and Cause" on Late Night on June 18, 2007.
• 2008: The Raconteurs play Late Night on June 2, 2008.
• 2009: At Conan's request, The White Stripes reform to play the series finale of Late Night on February 20, 2009. The band played "We're Going to Be Friends", one of Conan's favorite songs by the band (in one of his favorite keys, G) to the tune of Conan's Conan Sings a Lullaby sketch. The performance was the last by the band. (See the song's article.) Later that year, The Dead Weather play "Hang You from the Heavens" on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien on June 18.
• 2010: During Conan's Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television Tour, he and his Legally Prohibited Band play a show at Third Man Records on June 10, 2010. The show was released as a 12" LP, Live at Third Man, followed by the 7" single And They Call Me Mad?/Conan O'Brien Interview. Later that year, Jack White is the first musical guest on Conan on November 8, 2010; Jack and Conan play the Eddie Cochran song "Twenty Flight Rock" with the Basic Cable Band.
• 2011: Wanda Jackson and Jack White play "Funnel of Love" on Conan on January 25, 2011.
