Bond films

From Stmargarets

Rice, that’s Mr. Rice or is it Dr. Death? As part of his stellar upper school Latin program, Mr. Rice has implemented the viewing of James Bond films or “Clips” with his Latin students. For unknown reasons, only the bond films with Sean Connery are shown, and there is never mention of the fact that there are other Bond films. Also, at the time of this writing, Mr. Rice has not seen the latest James Bond film “Casino Royal.” It is unknown why Mr. Rice only likes Sean Connery but it may have seeming to do with Sean Connery autograph picture displayed predominately in the front of the class…

In the later part of 2006, it was brought to Mr. Rice’s attention that their were doubts about watching James Bond as part of the Upper School curriculum, and since then, very little James Bond has been watched in Mr. Rice’s room. In a more recent attempt to disguise the viewings, Mr. Rice coined the term “Bonding.”

“Good Morning class, I thought that we would start the day will a little Bonding. James Bonding that is.”

Although viewing has diminished as Mr. Rice switched to showing other films (i.e. Christmas Vacation, Spartacus and Airplane) it will not be long before James Bond returns to the class room. With Mr. Rice, one thing is for certain, as along as he is at SMES (aka: alive) there will be discreet James Bond watching going on behind closed doors and in Mr. Rice’s case, a purple towel.
