4-6: Group C

From Step Institute

Our lesson plan was designed to inform students of the different possible land formations created by the redistribution of sediments in rivers. We concentrated on deltas and canyons and explained how they were formed. We used a visual power point presentation and modeling in which students created a stream and observed how water redistributed sediment to create both deltas and canyons. We took the information we learned in the STEP Institute to apply knowledge and concepts associated with global climate change and the action of erosion due to water.
