  • Stereo Mixer DirectX Plug-in from Pacific Soundcraft: Takes the left and right channels of a stereo input signal and allows them to be panned separately to the stereo output signal. Allows nixing to mono/checking the mono-compatibility of a signal. Freeware

  • PsTools: A suite of command-line utilities that allows you to kill processes and programs like nothing else in this world. Easy to use in a batch file to eliminate all those things that still start up on your DAW even when you disable them. Freeware
  • TechSpot Guide to Windows Services: A useful list of Windows services, what they do, and what happens if you deactivate them.
  • PCI Latency Tool: Allows you to tweak your system's PCI latencies, which can tremendously improve audio performance. Freeware
