It starts off when a Japanese 17 year old woman named Haruhi is drivin to hospital after a car crash, the doctors rip her sleeves and she gets angry and they run away. She later staggers out the building to find a small black creature feeding on blood, who is Count Dracula's son, Alucard. The two become friends and Alucard tells Haruhi his life story. When Alucard was born, his Mother got sick and Alucard stayed with his Father Count Dracula everyday. Alucard wanted to help his Mother get better, but was only to be told that there was nothing he could do. Alucard also tells Haruhi he ran away from his land because when his Father dies he will be next Count, but Alucard refuses to kill people, Dracula wants him to but his Son wont accept the fact. Haruhi is later kidnapped but Alucard doesn't help her, instead he goes back to his Father, and is welcomed back. Later Haruhi escapes to her family. The next day Alucard comes back to see Haruhi, but she is angry at him for abandoning her when she needed him. Later, Haruhi takes a Midnight walk, and she ends up getting kidnapped by the same people who kidnapped her before. Alucard sees and tries to save her, one of the men shoots him in the wing and he is knocked out. Another man shoots Haru and she is knocked out and the men drive away. Alucard soon wakes up to find blood in front of him, when he sniffs it, he noticed it is Haru's blood. This makes Alucard so angry he turns into a bat demon, a monster. He flies through the country and finds the truck that Haru's in. He crashes through the truck and attacking the men, after that he goes to the back to get Haruhi. He recues her but gets shoot in the wing again and drops her into lake. He gets her out and rippes off the rope before collapsing on his back, Haru wakes up and sees him, she tries to wake him, and shaking him triggers a flashback. It shows Alucard as a child and he is playing with his only friend, Hector. Alucard takes Hector down in the basement and messes with posions. Dracula walks in, Alucard turns to see his Father and Hector lying on the floor. Dracula shoots Alucard turns into the bat deomon and drinks the blood from his friends neck, Alucard soon finds out what he did and it causes him to break down, Dracula tells him that he was trying to make his Son accept the fact, Alucard just laughs and calls it hilarious, but soon eats his words when Dracula slaps his face. Later Alucard goes to vist his Mother, who hasen't stood up since her son was born. She tells him that he must run away, if he doesn't want any of this. Everyone soons finds out about the vampires and go agaisnt Alucard and call him a 'monster'. So Alucard changes his looks and looks like a real boy. Before he leaves his Mother tells him he needs blood to live, and he leaves. The flashback ends and he is back to his normal self. Finding out what happened in his past, he says to Haruhi that he'll kill his Father. After that, Alucard doesn't come back untill three months later. Haru welcomes Alucard back in a hug.
