Infoisland.org: Alliance Library System and OPAL(Online Programming for All Libraries) have teamed up to extend the programmes currently offered online to librarians and library users to the Second Life virtual reality game. Although there are a couple of libraries currently on Second Life, none currently offers programs or services. Alliance and OPAL will start with programs and eventually hope to offer library services.
The infoisland complex in Second Life now consists of a set of islands, mixing both library and university resources. A number of libraries from across the world have set up facilities on Cybrary Island.
There is a useful blog, describing itself as "blog central for Australian Libraries in Other Worlds."
