- Strange feelings around water, seeing shadows in water
- A mysterious, lingering smell of old well water
- Warped image on film
- Automatic scribbling out of faces
- Terrified, contorted face upon death
- Death at the end of seven days
Samara Morgan Tape Symptoms
These symptoms are usually unique to Samara tapes.
- Automatic doodling, especially of ladders, horses, and eyes
- Animals acting strange around the cursed, especially horses
- Images of Anna Morgan brushing her hair in a mirror
- Images of Anna Morgan jumping off a cliff into the ocean
- A burning tree
- Dreams or illusions of ladders
- Dreams or illusions of Samara
- Burn marks on skin where dream/illusion Samara touched the cursed
Sadako Yamamura Tape Symptoms
These symptoms are usually unique to Sadako tapes.
- Images of Mt. Mihara erupting
- Images of Sadako's mother jumping into a volcano
- Strange instances of Japanese characters, especially "Sada"
Eun-Suh Park Tape Symptoms
These symptoms are usually unique to Eun-Suh tapes.
