Appearance

Yngve, tall, thin, pale, with a mop of mouse brown hair that never stays right on top of his head and a pair of large, dolesome eyes, is spindly to say the least. Coming fresh out of an adolescent growth spurt, he's much taller, much leaner, and has no idea where to go from here. He has a beyond unkempt way to existing - if his clothes match it's purely by accident, and if he thinks the blazer smelled clean, it certainly should to everyone else! Despite this, he manages to keep his nails straight and short.

If he doesn't have a trusty, worn out spiral with him wherever he goes, he's definately in a strange way.

History

Born and raised in Trondheim, Norway, Yngve wrote his first screenplay when he was six years old. Since then, he's been fastly scribbling in incorrect, later correct, and finally indeterminably fabulous formatted screenplays almost constantly. A tattered notebook and a pencil accompanies him everywhere, where he's apt to write down whatever phrase you'd just told him - realistic dialogue, realistic surroundings, realistic settings. In his home country you might call him a folk-celebrity. Selling his scripts to independent directors at 12, he managed a sort of word of mouth enterprise about the boy genius writer.

In Yngve's mind, there was nothing but the screenplay. He could write, and write, for hours, and it wouldn't matter. His father, a tired man running a small shop in cohoots with a Danish friend over the sea was apt to let his son have his fancy; his mother, a former Eurovision winner, was even moreso. She kept insisting to be featured in one of his movies, but to no avail. Yngve's cult success came from his subject matter: youth culture.

Despite his mother's former Eurovision roots, she'd squandered the majority of it away drinking - those not in the know, Norway's one of the most expensive countries to do it in. Leaving Yngve to his devices that early on drove his intense need to understand his own situation. At fifteen, he sold a major script - though never produced, the fact that the rights were licensed was a tiny victory for the child writer.

However, his mother, now bitter with Yngve's lack of attention (and the way the press noticed her son far more than her), she began complaining to her husband of Yngve's lack of traditional education. Why wasn't he in school? Sure, they were making money now, but all these movies about children - he didn't even know them! How could he write a real script about a 17 year old if he could never be a real 17 year old? Her case, so pitiful, won over his father's heart.

However, the family itself realised quickly Yngve's money wasn't as much as they thought it was. Independent film-makers and script-writers don't make bank, folks; what he'd been giving them had been almost all he'd ever made, and despite what his mother thought would be damaging news, he'd taken the announcement of Second Heaven as his trajectory with glee. How many studies! How many people to analyse! How fun!

Of course, the money issue vexed his parents.

Not Yngve.

He just sent them a script.

Two weeks later he was granted a full scholarship.

Personality

Keywords Curious, goofy, weird, extreme, passionate, harried, random, intense
In-Depth Yngve wants to know YOU. Not about the weather, not about sports, not about your mother, your father, or hell, not even himself. He wants to know exactly what's going on in YOUR head, and he's got a mind to figure it out. Maybe he's intensely overinterested, that might be it. Or the curious way he has of always turning the conversation back to you, of watching people from afar and not really hiding it, or of scribbling down bits of information at random in his notebook. To him, everyone's a character, and everyone's waiting for their story to be told.

Everyone's fantastic, in their own way. This lends him a very loving, generous air, and he can often be the friendliest person in a room. Though incapable of holding a *normal* conversation it doesn't necessarily mean that he's incapable of holding ANY. It just follows his own pace, his own flow, and ends abruptly at the sign of any conflict.

He can't observe conflict, obviously, if he's in it. Sure, if you are fighting with someone else, he'll be the first NOT to stop you - sit back, grab a pencil, enjoy the show. But fight with Yngve, you're apt to be avoided. The distant and often jealous behavior of his mother is just another observation to the writer, and so to Yngve, anything you do to him doesn't deserve rage... just careful scrutiny.
