SAA Annual Meeting 2008

Conference information

This year, the SAA Annual Meeting, titled "Archival R/Evolution & Identities", will be from August 26-31, 2008, at the Hilton San Francisco in San Francisco, California. Here is information for students.

Students who are members of the national SAA or ARMA-International can register for only $119. Early bird registration ends on July 7, but you will be able to register after that for extra money.

Poster session

The SAA-UT will be presenting a poster about the Mexico-Texas Border Trip. If you will be going to the meeting, we'd love help for the discussion times. If you don't go on the trip, we will of course give you enough detail to talk about it. We'll be working on it over the summer, so if you can't come to the national meeting but would be willing to help put it together, we'd be grateful.

Poster display times

Thursday, August 28, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm
Friday, August 29, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Poster discussion times

Thursday from 5:30 to 6:30 pm
Friday from 11:00 am to noon

Hotel and flight reservations

Several students have reserved a room at the Cathedral Hill Hotel near the Hilton from Monday, August 25 through Saturday, August 30. If you are interested in sharing any nite (or multiple nites), please contact Laurel Rozema at lrozema [at symbol] mail.utexas.edu.

Many are flying through Southwest Airlines between Austin and San Francisco. As of July 7, 2008, tickets cost around $200 round-trip.
