The following is a list of resources relating to technology in the classroom. Resources are organized into distinct categories, and the list is updated regularly, so check back often.
Blogging Tools
Most blogging tools offer a free basic version, and charge for extra features. First Class has a a basic blogging tool built in, and it is very easy to use. Several teachers (Mr. Shum is a good example) have used it.
Photo and Video Sharing Tools
- Flickr: photo organizing and sharing that works with a Yahoo mail account
- Youtube: completely unrefereed comments make Youtube an unpredictable tool to use in the classroom. Current network restrictions mean that videos have to be downloaded. Refer to other tools listed here.
- Vimeo: high definition video site
- Voice Thread (written and oral comments linked to images, PDFs)
