Climax

We need a climax, a genuine climax, of which I don't think there is, instead all I see is a froth of microclimaxes, which is gennerally fitting with your description of this as a series of scenes strung togeather... but I keep on longing for a scene that pullls out all the stops, One which brings all of the people togeather in a way which is both awkward and hilarious.

Hallie is calling Nick after having broken up with Dylan. She and Nick go to her house, where her siblings are being really obnoxious. So she calls Kati, asks her if she can use her apartment. Kati says fine, she's not going to be present anyway, and she'll leave the door open. Immediately she sets up bugs in the room (under the wallpaper, in the light switches), then goes into the adjacent apartment where Aimee and Dylan are commiserating. Meanwhile, Alex with a whole lot of lockpicking devices sneaks into Kati's apartment. He maybe has a paper shredder strapped to his back. Or whatever. So he is destroying the photos. And then Nick and Hallie come in, so Alex hides under the bed or in some other amusing locale. Nick and Hallie start getting quite hot-and-heavy, meanwhile Dylan and Aimee are chasing a firefly (?) or hear noise from the adjacent apartment (?) or somehow want to go inside it. They sneak in through a balcony (?) depending on the layout of the apartment. Anyway, Nick and Hallie are interrupted, Dylan is aghast etc., the four of them are incredibly startled...Kati tries to telephone Alex, Alex's phone starts ringing from under the bed. He picks up, says that he's going to burn the photos, brief shot of Kati being like "Fuck!", then he holds up the lighter and the sprinkler system goes off. (Maybe we've already discussed how delicate the system is in the apartment complex). Everyone is drenched and it is comical.
