If you just moved to Denmark, there are a few things you need to do in order to get settled. The most important is to register for a CPR number. You will need it to get a phone, for your health insurance, and to open an account at most banks. Below is a list of things that you will probably need to do if you are new to Denmark

[edit] Extending Your Work Permit

Most activity associated work permits, visas, or other immigration issues must can be addressed at udlændingeservice. There is a special form for researchers if you need to extend your work permint here. You must hand in the application in person if you live in greater Copenhagen. Otherwise, you may hand it in at a police station. The udlændingeservice hours are posted here.
