Adrastea is most often linked to the Greek name Adrastos, possibly meaning "he who stays, who does not flee". Another suggested meaning is "inescapable", fitting to the name as Adrastea is an epithet of Nemesis, the Greek goddess of divine retribution. Adrastea is also the name of several other Greek figures, including the nymph in charge of caring for the infant Zeus. (In our own world, Adrastea is also a satellite of the planet Jupiter.)
