Sun and Moon - Paired Black Powder Flintlocks

Repair 2
Citlialin Amini the Star-Hunter was a Night Caste veteran of the Primordial War most noted for his pursuit and victory over Sachaverell the Weaver of Dreams, known as the Lidless Eye That Sees before Amini's Lunar Mate destroyed that Primordial's defining fetich. In the last 1500 years of the High First Age, his jurisdiction encompassed Deheleshen - the city he ruled - and most of the Yanaze River Valley to the throat of the River of Tears, bordered by the River Districts of Hollow and Denandsor.
It was his Sidereal advisor who commissioned these beautiful weapons for Amini as a gift. Silent Mournful Starfall awakened to Saturn's service when her parents, the last of his youngest sister's descendants, died. As her only remaining relative he took the girl under his wing in an advisory capacity and out of gratefulness to her guardian and lord, the young Vizier went to his Twilight circlemate's Lunar husband and asked the brilliant artificer to create these ceremonial weapons. Later in his life they were used only in moments of great need or upon a whim; the Star-Hunter had stronger weapons, after all.
Amini died in the months following the Usurpation, killed by his own niece. After the manse was destroyed, a Dragon-Blooded officer kept the weapons as a battle prize and a family heirloom until the Contagion years when his entire bloodline died of the sickness or the rampaging Fair Folk. The weapons were reclaimed by a Kazei Yushoto Hiro, a Lookshyan Dragon-Blooded officer of the Second Field Force. He won them back in a hard-fought skirmish with a raksha who had fancied himself a wandering gunslinger and was in fact terrorizing the people in the Chayan region. Sun and Moon were brought back to the Gens' ancestral home, where they remained until Hiro's oldest son presented them to a junior officer as a gift. In a twist of fate that can only be described as ironic, the young woman to whom the weapons had been gifted Exalted as a Solar mere days later - as the successor of their original owner.
Sun and Moon are both primarily made of orichalcum, with blue jade inlay and starmetal Old Realm glyphs carefully crafted into the barrels. Anyone well-versed in the language would be able to read, "Highest glory and praise to my Father, from whom I take my commission as His Justicar." The weapons are also fitted with orichalcum bayonets, making the weapons quite useful in close-quarter melee combat. A sun and a moon, each made of moonsilver, are set into the jade plating of the handles about half a finger's width from the trigger guard.
These weapons are not highly potent relative to many of comparable age and prestige, having been intended at least partially as a ceremonial item for a First Age Solar. The barrels are not self-cleansing, they use black powder by default but work very well with Essence-based archery attacks. There is a single socket for a hearthstone in the pommel of each pistol. Together they cost 6m to attune.
