Advantages
Backgrounds
Wealth 2 - An uncommonly competent strategist even by Solar standards, Tea's skills are still fairly well sought after even now, and years of hiring herself out as a consultant - in matters of neutrality, naturally - have resulted in a healthy account to pay for most living expenses.
Sifu 3 - Graceful Willow is getting along in years himself. It's questionable as to whether he'll live long enough to pass down the Scarlet-Patterned Battlefield Style he taught Adrastea's predecessor, when she was the strategos known as Divided Paths.
Savant 3 - Adrastea is an avid scholar and historian, having studied at the military academy in Meru for years before her Exaltation at the behest of her mentors, and she has maintained much of her proficiency in both esoteric and field-related knowledge.

Personal Information
Appearance
A softspoken, wry-humored strategos, Adrastea is a fairly tall woman with the athletic build of someone who has spent most of her life trained as a warrior in a military family (like most scions of the established Gentes would be). Her long, slightly curly hair is a dark auburn, her star-filled eyes more carnelian than pure red. For the most part she dresses simply, in clothes that do not immediately denote her status unless she must attend a formal ceremony or gathering. Adrastea considers herself a strategist more than a pure warrior, and as such rarely cares to fight - but she will certainly draw a weapon when the necessity arises, and wields it quite competently.
History
Adrastea was born into Gens Yushoto, a Wood-Aspected Dragon-Blooded vassal house to an Eclipse Caste Solar named Alabaster Silk Rose. The Gens kept its ancestral lands in the northwestern reaches of the River Province (near modern-day Marin Bay in the default setting), and it was there that Adrastea grew to maturity, the eighth of ten children.
She had several brothers and sisters, but one in particular, Yushoto Gaelen, was her favorite. They were the only pair in their generation who had failed to Exalt as the rest of their siblings had, and forged close bonds with each other in response. Adrastea adored her brother and first swordmaster, who even as a "mere mortal" was a gifted warrior who had received several commendations on the field of battle and had risen as far through the ranks as a young man his age could.
But even he was no match for his little sister's eye for planning and strategy, which earned her a place in one of Meru's renowned salons at the tender age of fifteen. She was deemed a child prodigy, several years younger than her classmates, and graduated from the exclusive school within two years to join the force under her Gens' command. Her assignments saw her through some of the most harrowing battles of the era against enemies she'd never dreamed of facing. She Exalted alone, the night before a single decisive battle on the plains of the Yanaze River Valley: while finalizing a plan she realized she could see every single conclusion of every possibility she'd envisioned as if it were happening right in front of her, and knew the course she must take despite her exhaustion. The next morning, two strangers awaited her in the command tent.
After the fight's conclusion she was granted a leave of absence in order to see to her education and trained in her duties as one of the Chosen of the Maidens, and assigned to the Convention of Wood by her own request. Within weeks of her assignment she received a missive; on the parchment was the seal of her House's Solar queen. Alabaster Silk Rose had requested the girl's presence personally.
When she arrived home she discovered two things: one, her brother Gaelen had Exalted in her absence, as one of Luna's Chosen and Silk Rose's mate reborn. Two, word of her own success as a strategist had reached their ears and she wished to offer the young Sidereal a position in her ranks as a military advisor; she had had some trouble with a couple of her neighbors in recent years and her last man had recently passed away. She would, of course, have time to see to her other duties as well. Overjoyed to be working alongside her brother, Adrastea quickly agreed.
Over the next few centuries, however, the relationship between the queen, her husband and her Sidereal advisor soured. Silk Rose was already over a thousand years old when Gaelen had Exalted and she wasted little time in bending the handsome Half Moon to her will, and as the years passed her cruelties grew both more extreme and more casual. Adrastea watched the downward spiral with a mixture of horror and deep-seated guilt; she knew her brother both loved and hated his wife, and despised the link between their Exaltations that bound him to Silk Rose - and she was immensely frustrated that he defended his mate regardless. Many of her queen's decisions were putting a severe strain on the Loom of Fate and she was called away to fix them more and more often; the last decade she spent in the queen's court saw her present for a grand total of two cumulative months.
Adrastea still remembers her own vision when the Prophecy was cast; the horrifying images were branded into her mind so as to be unforgettable... and when all was said and done, she chose the Vision of Bronze. She understood the Gold's drive to try and reform the Solars, and no longer believed it could be done. A hundred years ago, even twenty years ago, she might have thought differently. But it was the thought of her brother's tired face and haunted, haggard eyes that caused her to make the decision she did:
Alabaster Silk Rose and her fellows had to die. Not for her sake, but for her brother's and everyone else the Solars had the potential to hurt.
But the general consensus was that the Lunars, too, had to die, or at least be driven away from their mates. Adrastea knew that her brother would stand by his wife and be slaughtered, and couldn't bring herself to let it happen. She made arrangements for her brother to be on a boat in the Inner Sea, involved in minor war games, during the fateful Calibration Feast that saw his wife's murder. They met on neutral ground several times throughout the conflict, each time ending in an impasse until the day came when Adrastea and Gaelen finally faced each other on the field of battle. Both were severely injured in the fighting that ensued, and even then there was no real conclusion; when the bodies were identified, his was not among them. Adrastea suspects her brother is alive somewhere still.
Her recent transfer to the West is on the heels of another request: she has been moving around the directions looking for her brother and taking up contractual work along the way - her last job was in the South advising a small independent city-state ruled by an oligarchy of alchemists. They were involved in an ongoing war of attrition against another small nation to the northwest - borders were disputed territory for centuries and the other side had apparently managed to get their hands on some nasty weapons: a tale all too common in the aftermath of Exalted destruction.
Rather than lament it, Adrastea is grateful for her convention transfer. The West is one place she's never seen (and the one area she hasn't searched yet), and she's hoping for a new start.
